Overview  

Course syllabi are located on the Academics tab of the SMCC Portal in the link titled View Your Course Syllabus.  To post your syllabus, see the directions below.

To upload your syllabus

 

1.  The file should be formatted as a pdf or word document (.docx) file.  Please make sure that you are using the current syllabus template, which you can find on the Faculty tab of the SMCC Portal, or by clicking here once you have logged on: Syllabus Template

2.  Sign into the portal (MYSMCC) and click on the academics tab.  On the left-hand side of the page click into the Course Syllabi link, and then you will see the academic divisions listed as well as a page for FIGS and ACCS courses.  Click on the Current Syllabi link for your division - ex. Current Arts & Sciences Division Syllabi". If you are unsure of which division your course belongs to click the appropriate course code on the following page and it will take you there: https://my.smccme.edu/ICS/Academics/Course_Syllabi.jnz

3.  In the portlet that has "Fall 20XX Syllabi" scroll down until you see your academic department. You will see a link "Add a handout" - click on it (if you do not see the "Add a Handout" link you are probably not logged in).  Fill in the name field using the course number, section number, and your last name separated by dashes (Ex. FIGS-100-01 Charpentier).  Click on "Choose File".  Moxie manger will open in a pop-up window. Click on the upload link (upper left) and navigate to where you have the file, highlight it and click open and then the insert button.  .

 

You should then see your syllabus listed under your department heading.

 

Click on the file to test it and you are done!
