Introduction

SMCC computer labs are configured to only install software updates during specified maintenance windows. This document specifies the master schedule and any per-lab schedules. These schedules do not apply to hardware repair, imaging, or other troubleshooting work. In an emergency, updates may be forced to occur outside of the maintenance windows.

Master Schedule

Nightly Opportunistic Schedule: Every day from 2100-2200. Computers are not configured to power on for this maintenance window, but in the event they are left on, will execute any pending updates and/or application installs.

Weekly Schedule: Every Sunday from 0700-2200. Compatible computers are configured to power on specially to execute updates and/or application installs.
