Get Started

To reset your own password, you must have configured at least two recovery methods. Instructions are here and you can set up recovery methods here.

Start by going to forgotpassword.smccme.edu, or on any SMCC login page, click the link that says "Can't access your account?".

The captcha on this page is not case sensitive.

Verify Your Identity

In order to reset your password, you must complete two verification steps.

The options you see may be different than shown below. You will only see verification methods that you have previously set up. Choose one, then follow the prompts to verify your identity.

Once you complete the first step, proceed to the second verification step. You may have a reduced selection of options at this step.

Choose a New Password

After verifying the second time, you will be asked to choose a new password.

Finally, you’ll get a message that your password was reset. You may now proceed to log in.

Note: If you're trying to log in to a campus computer, your password might not work for up to 2 minutes after resetting it.
