Introduction

This document describes how SMCC users can sign in, download, and install Adobe CC products on their personal computers.

Prerequisites

• Requires a computer which meets Adobe’s requirements for each product you want to use.

Instructions

1. In a web browser, go to www.adobe.com.
2. In the upper-right corner, click Sign In.
3. In the Username field, enter your username (including @smccme.edu) and hit Tab or Enter. You will be redirected to the SMCC login page.
4. Log in with your normal SMCC credentials.
5. You will end up on your Adobe Account page. From here, you can access Adobe Creative Cloud services and download Adobe applications. 
6. Under Creative Cloud Apps, click Desktop Downloads.
7. Select the product you want to download.
   • Note: You can download more or even all of the apps later, but right now you are just choosing what to get started with.
8. When you click Download, the site will ask you about your skill level and job function. This information is used to configure your app with helpful tutorials and settings that Adobe thinks may be relevant to you. It is not used for any other purpose.
9. Once you complete the form, a small file called productSet-Up will download. It should only take a moment. The “product” will be replaced by whatever you chose – Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
10. Run the installer by double-clicking on it. This should only take a few moments, and then the Creative Cloud app will launch and ask you to sign in.
11. Sign in with your SMCC credentials.
12. After a few moments, you will be shown a list of all the products you are entitled to download and install. Some products may simply say Launch, which indicates that they are web-based, rather than something you download.
13. The product you chose will begin downloading as well. Download and installation time will vary depending on your internet connection speed and computer.
14. You’re done! You may choose additional apps to download if you want.
